| "It is important that Powerboat P1 has trophies that reflect the prestige and enormity of the achievement in winning powerboating's most demanding World Championship," explains Jim O'Toole. "They are symbolic of the sport's rich heritage and we hope that in the years ahead these beautiful sculptures develop an iconic status within powerboating." The trophies were created by Italian artist, Andreas Perathoner. He has produced trophies for a number of sports, incl. the Superbike Worlds. Each trophy comprises two pieces; a bronze boat and cherry - wooden base, representing the sea waves. |

Das Dinner am 01.03.08 bringt neben den Teams, den Sponsoren und den Organisatoren auch zahlreiche weitere Gäste aus fünf Kontinenten zusammen. 2007 werden zudem drei neue Ehrungen eingeführt. Das „Venue of the Year“ für den besten Veranstaltungort, „P1 Moment of the Year“ und den „Sergio Carpentieri Spirit of P1“ Award in Erinnerung an den in Travemünde verunfallten Italiener. London ist nach Rom, Capri und Monaco der vierte Gastgeber für das Powerboat P1 Annual Awards Dinner. |
