| Marking round five in the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships, the event is the first ever powerboat race to compete on a closed circuit inside Sydney Harbour and will provide an awesome spectacle for the conclusion of Sydney Harbour Week. Among a host of other activities, the pole position shoot-out will take place from 2pm on Saturday 8 March. The main event of the Sydney Superboat Grand Prix will rev into action around 3.30pm on Sunday 9 March. Spectators can take in the action from the water and from the shore. |
Melbourne entwickelt sich zu der australischen Motorsport Metropole schlechthin. Die Offshore Superboat Championship gibt dabei mit ihren beiden Runden in St. Kilda und Melbourne innerhalb einer Woche den Startschuß. In den nächsten Monaten werden dann noch der Formel 1 Grand Prix, einige V8 Supercar Runden und etwas später im Jahr, der Moto GP, zu Gast in der Stadt sein. Allesamt Motorsport Events der Spitzenklasse, die der Stadt tausende von Zuschauern bescheren werden. |
