Chemz back Group A Jetsprints
22.12.2007 |
|
| New Zealand owned and operated company Chemz Ltd has joined the Jetsprinting family as naming rights backer for the Chemz Group A Championship, which is a part of the 2008 Parker ENZED Jetsprint Championship Series. Chemz make a large selection of products for use in the Automotive, Engineering, Electrical and Marine industries. Chemz ‘Clever Kiwi Kit’ includes lubricants, cleaners and coatings, along with other maintenance and technical products. Chemz prides itself on being the 200% Kiwi company, with all products designed and manufactured in New Zealand. Chemz will use Kiwi Jetsprinting to get its name out to the large base of Jetsprinting fans, and will provide products to help the Jetsprinters keep their highly stressed racing machines maintained. “We are pleased to associate our Clever Kiwi Company with the highly exciting Kiwi sport of Jetsprinting” commented John Berry, Managing Director of Chemz Ltd “Jetsprinting will provide an extensive television audience for us to highlight the range of over 50 products we make in New Zealand that are used to keep transport, racing and industrial machinery running” Mr Berry added. |

“Chemz is a young Kiwi company which is set to go places” commented Ross Teesdale of series promotions company Jetpro Ltd “We are delighted Chemz have chosen Jetsprinting as a platform to grow their company. Jetsprinting is going from strength to strength with new venues opening, lots of new teams joining the championship, and great coverage by our TV partners on TV3 and SKY Sport. We are looking forward to Chemz and Jetsprinting moving forward together” added Mr Teesdale. The Chemz name may already be familiar to many Motorsport fans with the company providing support to competitors in Motor Racing, Rallying, Speedway, Drag Racing and Karting, along with backing Andrew Guthrie and his Group A team in Jetsprinting. With Guthrie updating to a brand new Sprintec hull for 2008, Chemz will be looking to Guthrie to challenge the established stars in the Chemz Group A Championship title race. Three-time and current Chemz Group A Champion Rex Briant has worked hard over the winter to refine his winning formula, and with his brother, current Superboat World Champion Peter Briant stepping into Chemz Group A, along with several other teams moving into new or updated racing machines, Guthrie has a fight on his hands.
The Chemz Group A competitors, along with the Beaurepaires Superboats and the Jetpro NZ Lites Development Class, will all have their first chance to stamp their mark on the 2008 Parker ENZED Championship series when round one kicks off in Wanganui on December 27th. |
