| If you hadn´t heard of the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat Series (Honda F4SA) before, you certainly have now! The show attracted a number of new fans to the series. Crowds stood and watched the action of the Honda series from the big screens and looked amazed at the sheer risk and skill that makes up our racing. Hustler from the P1 race series and racing veterans Telstar & Thunderbolt who raced in the Cowes Torquay series also drew in the crowds. It has been a long time waiting and certainly a long time planning, but we can honestly say that our Powerboat Village was an explosive attraction. Martin Sanders General Manager Honda Power Equipment Europe said, “We were delighted with the response that Honda received at the Earls Court Boat Show. It was a great for spectators and future competitors to talk to the organisers as well as people involved in the racing. We look forward to making some more people´s dreams come true next year, so they can race in the world´s largest offshore Powerboat series. Earls Court Boat Show provided a great stage for this to happen |
and I look forward to next year‟s show in 2008.” Show organiser James Brook and driver of the 150 Earls Court Boat Show boat in the Honda F4SA series took a huge risk by bringing the show back to Earls Court, what with the current January competition looming from the existing Excel Boat Show. However the impressions have been positive and exhibitors and public alike are in full support of their return to Earls Court in 2008. “The Powerboat Village was a colourful display of historic race boats. I thought it was amazing and people loved it. It was a really good representation of the sport of power boating at an international boat show and we are looking forward to growing with this and Honda F4SA at future shows. We have big plans for power boating at the 2008 show which is on 29th November until 7th December 2008. I will be racing in the Honda series next year in a new 150 boat, we will still be called Earls Court Boat Show and have our sights set high for the 2008 season,” said James Brook, Managing Director of the Whyte & Mackay Earls Court Boat Show. |
