| Giorgioffshore team boss, Gianni Giorgi, has confirmed he has reached a deal with Italian engine builder SCAM to supply the engines to SeveneleveN for the remainder of the 2008 season, starting at next months Russian Grand Prix in Moscow (4-6 July). The agreement with SCAM’s Franco Alloni, Gianni and Nicola Giorgi, marks another crucial step forward in the team’s on-going development after unveiling their Michael Peters-designed, Victory-built hull at the season opener in Qatar in March, as it strives to compete at the highest level in the sport. "We are really happy to announce the agreement made with Franco (Alloni) and Giorgioffshore, which sets out the basis for a long-term project. |
Whilst we have been satisfied with the performances shown by our Giorgi V12 engines, which showed great power and potential, we have had some issues with reliability and at this point of the season it’s very important to guarantee high performances and reliability at all the races. "We thank once again all our sponsors in supporting us through this period of development and improvement for the team which we are confident will bring successful results." said Gianni Giorgi. |
