| Having elected to sit-out the first race of the season, Domenico Cirilli and Sergio Mora Carrasco have not been idle whilst the Class 1 fleet has been in Doha and have been getting in some valuable time together on the water, taking to the seas off Huelva in a Class 3 catamaran. The new all-Spanish partnership is set to make their debut at the Montenegrin Grand Prix in Budva in May in the raceboat Cirilli throttled last season. “Sergio has made a very strong impression with me,” said Cirilli, a veteran of over 40 Grands Prix |
. “He has great awareness in the boat and is very comfortable, driving at speed and in all conditions. We have put in a considerable amount of time in the boat just to get used to each other and I am already convinced that we will make a strong partnership.” The Spanish duo is now planning further tests in March in Torrevieja, when their Class 1 raceboat returns from Qatar.
