Spirit quickest in second practice
16.11.2007
Spirit of Norway’s Bjorn Gjelsten and Steve Curtis grabbed the psychological advantage ahead of this afternoon’s Edox Pole Position after posting the fastest time in today’s practice and the quickest of the two sessions. The sports top three continued where they left off yesterday, exchanging fastest times with Spirit’s one and only timed lap, 2m 39.51 the quickest. But late in the session it was Victory 77’s team-mates, Talib Al Sayed and Nadir bin Hendi who went the fastest of the Dubai boats to set the second fastest time, 2m 41.25s, with Jotun’s Jorn Tandberg and Christian Zaborowski improving on their time in yesterday’s practice by 13 seconds to go third, with 2m 41.40s, dropping Qatar 96 and Victory 77 down the order, with Qatar 95 completing the top six.
