Under the new procedure, the boats will follow the official Nor-Tech pace boat for a single parade lap and then call the boats into line under a yellow flag. When race officials are satisfied that all boat are lined up correctly will start the race solely by raising the green flag. From that point teams are running under racing rules and not under obligation to ‘maintain their line’ but must adhere to the rules that govern. |
