Air Gate Construction
20.04.2007 |
| The Air Gates are constructed of two 20-meter-high pylons set between 10 and 14 meters apart from each other, although some Air Gates are made up of four pylons, known as Quattros. The Gates are permanently filled with air from below in order to keep them upright. They are made of a light spinnaker material which easily rips when struck by a plane and pose no danger from a collision. They can be replaced immediately after an impact. |
